With all of the quarantined-craziness going on right now, we have been searching for a way to keep this ministry going in our Diocese. That's why, starting Friday April 3rd, we will be starting our online Zoom youth ministry at 6:30pm! These meetings are for our EDGE group, as this will be technically be the unofficial relaunch for our middle school ministry. For our high school students, although we were planning some social gatherings as we gear up for our official LifeTeen relaunch, I will be setting up some online meetings for us as well in the coming weeks, so be on the look-out!
All of the new forms are available on the respective ministry pages (EDGE/Middle School) and (LifeTeen/High School). I will be sending out more information via Flocknote, so please be sure to send me your contact information if I don't already have it. No matter how far apart, we can still be part of an amazing community. Remember, Faith Not Fear!
Religious Education does not end when a young person receives the sacrament of Confirmation. In fact, religious education is a life-long process. We invite and encourage young people to join with their peers in this continuing journey. Youth Ministry helps to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young adult. Youth Ministry also seeks to draw young people to responsible participation in the faith community.
It is our mission at St. Matthew’s Youth Group to give the youth of our parish an active role in the church. By being open to new people, ideas, and giving back to the community, we enhance the goodness of the human heart. We strive to set an example for tomorrow’s youth while having fun experiencing God’s blessings in different ways.
