Council of Catholic Women (CCW)
Our Mission is to organize and participate in activities that improve our church, our community and ourselves. In doing so, we support, empower and educate the women of our parish in the area of spirituality, leadership and service. The St. Matthew’s Council of Catholic Women (CCW) was established in 1948 and is affiliated with:
- North Jacksonville Deanery (NJD)
- Augustine Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW)
- Florida Council of Catholic Women (FCCW)
- National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW)
As a Member of the Council of Catholic Women, you will: • Be part of a group of dynamic women • Experience personal growth in faith and spirituality • Answer God’s call to service • Use your talents to benefit others • Stay informed on issues of concern • Experience the power of group prayer • Hone your leadership skills • Expand the influence of Catholic women • Make a real difference in your community.
Scheduled Meetings – General meetings will be every other month. A calendar of events will be available.
Time Commitment – The CCW is involved with: Annual Fall Bazaar, Memorial Mass for Members, Holiday Bake Sales, Circle Holiday Parties and Gift Exchange, Holiday Gifts for Shut-Ins, Workshops and Retreats, International Dinner, Stations of the Cross, Rosary, Picture Day with Santa and the Easter Bunny, Receptions for First Communion, Confirmation, RCIA, and St. Matthew’s Feast Day, Annual Officer Installation, Social Events, Fellowship, and much, much, more.
Requirements – Annual/Lifetime membership available with membership fees, a registration form is available online and in the Church Gathering area
